Sandra DaCosta is a CPA, CGA with the Canadian and Ontario Chartered Professional Accountants. She earned her degree and is an alumni of the University of Toronto. She is a member of CPA Canada, CPA Ontario, the Canadian Tax Foundation and has completed the CPA In-Depth tax program. She also is IRS PTIN registered. She has over 20 years of full-time audit and tax experience with two of the big four professional accounting firms in the world. She has also contracted out her tax expertise for several years. She specializes in global expatriate taxation, with focus on Canada and US tax. She worked in both Canada and in the states of IL and NC in the United States and alongside some very interesting & highly influential executives, business leaders and clients over the years.
Sandra is an advocate for youth financial and tax literacy, advocate of women’s rights, philanthropist and is a Board of Director on several non-for-profits and other organizations. She has volunteered her personal time as a mentor, for speaking sessions, youth tax education sessions and volunteered with women’s shelters in the greater Toronto area. On a more personal level, Sandra is a mother of two and is a survivor; her battle with thyroid cancer and breast DCIS has given her a different perspective on life and a different approach to professional work. She views the world and clients with a humanistic approach, “an individual first, a business professional second.”
