Sandra DaCosta is the founder of Dacosta CPA Professional Corporation. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and an Enrolled Agent in the United States. She is a member of CPA Canada, CPA Ontario, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the U.S. NATP and completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth tax program. She is PTIN registered in the United States. She is an alumni of the University of Toronto. She has over 25 years of tax experience with two of the big four global accounting firms. She has also contracted out her tax expertise for several years. She specializes in global expat tax and residency, with focus on Canada and U.S. cross-border. She worked in both Canada and in the states of IL and NC in the U.S. and alongside some very interesting & influential executives, business leaders, and high net worth clients over the years.
Sandra is an advocate for youth financial literacy, advocate of women’s rights, philanthropist and is a Director on non-for-profit boards. She has volunteered her time as a mentor, board member, speaker, and volunteered with women’s shelters in the greater Toronto area. On a more personal level, Sandra is a mother of two and is a survivor; her battle with thyroid cancer and breast DCIS has given her a different perspective on life and a different approach to professional work. She views the world and clients with a humanistic approach, “an individual first, a business professional second.”
